Can mini lops be kept outside. Even though mini lops are a relatively small breed their hutch still needs to be spacious. It is said that the minimum size would be if your rabbit can stand on its hind legs and hop forwards 3 times. About 4ft should be about the minimum lengthNo rabbit hutch should be shorter than 4ft unless the depth is 2ft or more.
The hutch should be weatherproofed well and safe from predators such as foxes or rats. However they do well with light brushing. Use a soft-bristled brush to take care of your bunnys fur every once in a while.
Mini lops molt when theyre adults and when you see this happening you can help remove the fur using a wire brush. If your rabbit gets dirty outside you can wash him using rabbit shampoo. Never use human shampoo on a rabbit.
The Mini Lop should be well-furred so bare pads of the feet are considered a fault. Ears that are carried poorly or lopsidedly ironically enough are also considered a fault. A rabbit that does not have a nicely shaped head and crown the area between the bunnys ears is.
Mini lops only need a very small amount of dried mixed food each day and it is important that they are not overfed as they will just keep eating and will this will jurt their tummies and make them very poorly.
